This time I tried a different shading style - more like classic anime style instead of pseudo-photographic like used previously.

Well, it looks more drawing-like. And certainly takes more time - I can't just take lights from base photo I do manipulate and must draw lights and shades by hand.

But I think it's worth learning.

This time to make it I use Inkscape instead of Gimp. Well, it is really a different kind of work. It took much more time than with Gimp (as always - a first work takes long) but effect is worth it. Even if colors are not accurate and a lot of details got wiped out during rasterisation ;)

Well, it took me a while to get back in a mood for drawing. Finally today I have bought a tablet (cheapest Wacom, as it is the only Linux compatible) and toyed a bit with it.

So here you have it - a classic story line with a classic picture. I got somehow rusty so I used a reference photo again without a bit of modification. Just couldn't draw from a free hand.

Shrinking in the sun

A bit of "manga" style, sketched in Gimp and finished in Inkscape. Use download to get full resolution image (1768x3963) - again I missed a details level and drawn it too detailed.

The idea of heat-shrinking materials is very alluring to me, there is however no such material like presented in this story. A regular and currently available shrinking material would shrink to a shape technically called "an envelope" and would not get sucked into cavities as the vacuum rubber bed can do. So you may think about a material in this story as to be made of billions of tiny uni-directional valves which allows air to be pushed outside the sleeve but not to get inside. This way each body movement will cause it to get tighter and closer to the skin.

Drawn with a reference photo. No much changes to original model pose. Hm... somehow I felt I can't draw it well without a reference. Honestly, it looks like to be able to draw well one must draw each and every day.... And I simply do not have that much time and will.
