One day when sitting on the couch mum called out, “Tom I’m going out Ashley is in charge. Don’t forget to do your chores. I would start now if I was you.” I called back, “Ok I’ll do them. Love you mum see you soon.” She shut the door and drove off. Ashley was my older sister by a year. We are very close and love each other a lot.

Today was no exception. I started to get up when a new show started. So I watched till the end then started my chores and got what I remembered I had to do done. When waking back to the couch I saw a list and noticed that I had done about half. Then I saw mums car and new that I was in trouble. This worried me as last time her punishment was that me she ate me and left me in her stomach for a week. Fearing that I ran into my sisters room. She saw my panic and knew what was happening, she said, “Did you forget your chores.” I said, “No I started doing them but I only got through half as I wanted to see the end of my show.”

She knew what I meant as this is what happened to her last time however she got lucky. Mum has a rule that if your in trouble you get to hid. If she finds you within ten minutes you are hers. Otherwise if you manage to hide you are free but still have to do whatever but with no punishment. For example being late and not doing the task on time. But you will still have to do it soon after hiding successfully. Or you’ll have to hide again...
