Canonical: android
Android refers to artificial beings that have a human element at their core. Even though this is very similar to the robot tag, the key difference is that androids involve humans—either a human who's been transformed into an android, a human wearing android gear, or a human encased in some kind of android body. So while a robot is a completely artificial machine with no human involvement, an android is fundamentally about the human aspect being preserved or incorporated. This tag works really well alongside mechanization, especially when humans are actively being converted or transformed into android versions of themselves. If there's a human element involved in becoming or being a machine, android is your tag.

This is a fantastic science-fiction fetish story by lckdnrbbr which follows the female main character finally transforming into her dream state of being. It had already been centuries, since she had uploaded her mind and became basically immortal and had experienced all kinds of lives since then. Often living out her fetish fantasies, she had finally met her true partner, Dominique. Since the very first moment they had met, both had known that they had been perfectly made for each other. Dominique was quite skilled in the technologies regarding mind-upload and body-swapping, and after the MC had told her wildest dreams, Dominique had managed to let the dream become reality by transferring the mind into an android completely made out of latex and fully under Dominique's control. The most important part of that transformation was, though, that there wasn't a way back. Once in such a body, the host could never return to a biological one, but that had never been something the two wanted anyway.

Bit by bit, she builds up the fantastic exoskeleton like shell and has mind-blowing experiences playing with it afterwards. This absolutely fantastic nanomachines mechanization story by jarjarjarjarjar follows quite the genius inventor John, many years in the future. Even though John has a genius mind, his body has betrayed him all his life, and he's barely capable of surviving without all kinds of medical supplies, breathing apparatus, and a special suit that keeps up his blood circulation. Having made a lot of scientific research on nanomachines, John had always the vision of using them to maybe fix problems within his body. Sadly though, nearly every government on earth immediately banned the use of nanomachines on biological material, understandable being very concerned about their potential damage. As a result, all nanomachines manufactured had that block integrated on their very base level, making it impossible to somehow reverse that. But there actually had been a set of nanomachines that didn't have that blocker. Some very first generations hadn't been made with that blockade, and John had managed to get his hands on some of them. The issue was just that their memory was so small, they head to be reprogrammed every 24 hours. With his obsession of fixing his body and having the strong desire to become the ideal partner for his caretaker Laura, John goes further and further to somehow transform himself into what Laura had always dreamed of…

An absolutely wonderful mechanization, android, and mind control story by The Sandgoose I came across on MCStories. I really love stories like this one here, as the characters in it do it out of their consent and motivation. They aren't really forced to do anything, but they start to develop and realize their desires. This work also plays heavily with the human psyche and general philosophical ideas, which kind of remind me of Eudeamon by evil-dolly. The idea of actively changing one's personality and mind, or the idea of integrating a second “control” personality into your mind, is very intriguing to me and I love seeing it being explored in a fetish fashion.

Another absolutely fantastic mechanization story by Master-Geass that follows Arij fulfilling one of her and her roommate Nozuru's dreams by buying a very advanced drone / robot suit. Both had been very interested in drones and had quite some kinky fantasies about what they'd do with it. With Arij secretly buying such a suit, she begins getting dressed in it as a surprise for Nozuru, but messes up the initial settings and gets eventually trapped inside it. Once she had finished dressing, the suit got activated and took over all her functions and began filling her mind with all the tasks and data she needed to know, while fully transforming her into an obedient drone. Hoping Nozuru would eventually free her, once she came back home, except that her roommate has quite some other ideas with her new robot partner.
