Mummification involves wrapping a character in multiple layers of material to create a mummy-like appearance and restriction. This is typically done using packaging tape, plastic wrap, or similar adhesive materials that bind the body in successive layers. Traditional bandages can also be used for a more classic mummy aesthetic. The process creates complete immobilization and sensory deprivation, trapping the character in a cocoon-like state. The visual transformation into a mummy form is central to the appeal, along with the complete loss of mobility and the restrictive sensation of being wrapped from head to toe.
